My husband and I spontaneously watched “Kinky Boots” this weekend which is winner of six Tony Awards and is one of the most popular musicals on Broadway.
KINKY BOOTS is the exhilarating Broadway musical that will lift your spirits to new high-heeled heights! Winner of six Tony Awards® including BEST MUSICAL, this inspirational story follows a struggling shoe factory owner who works to turn his business around with help from the most unlikely person. Together, these two become an unstoppable team, and find that they have more in common than they ever dreamed possible… proving that when you change your mind about someone, you can change your whole world. I genuinely loved this show and the actors were so talented! We got lucky as a kind couple who had to leave early gave us their seats. Thanks to them, we got the best seats in the center of the first row! (THANK YOU!!) We were so close to the actors that we could even see their sweat and hair! 🙂
This musical really had me think about passion in life and career. Am I following my passion? Or what is my passion and latent? And most importantly, I realized that I need to accept everyone for who they are. Truth be told, dealing with people with a bad attitude can be hard to accept (especially at work!) but this show made me realize I need to accept these people for who they are, to show compassion and love. Maybe it will help the relationship and most importantly my feelings.
Has anyone watched this show? If so, what was your thoughts on it? And what’s your favorite Broadway show? I’d love to hear your thoughts 🙂
